Is Being "Side B" Just Internalized Homophobia?
Is Being “Side B” Just Internalized Homophobia?
Do I live the way I live purely because of the way I was raised? Do I still harbor any internalized homophobia of myself and others? Is that why I'm "Side B"? Is this all coming from a place of pious self-righteousness?
Flirting With Temptation? When My Pastor Pulled Me from Ministry
Flirting With Temptation? When My Pastor Pulled Me from Ministry
We will face temptation in this life. There is greater nuance for those of us with fellow "Side B" relationships, as the gender with whom we often need the closest relationships is the gender we are also generally attracted to. Temptation will happen, but it cannot be the only — or primary — litmus test for whether we can be safe in friendship.

Please Don’t Let Our Second YOBBERS Retreat Suck
We recently held our second annual YOBBERS retreat: a weekend gathering for our financial supporters and community members on Patreon. Several of our authors attended, and we discussed our time together — both highs and lows — in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Wounded Sparrow Seeking Home: Intro to a Queer, Married Pastor
Wounded Sparrow Seeking Home: Intro to a Queer, Married Pastor
I like men in more than just a friendly way. I am a man who is attracted emotionally and sexually to other men. I am also married to a woman, attracted only to her out of all the women on earth. Somehow, it works. I am queer. And for much of my life, that has terrified me.

Navigating Faith, Homosexuality, and Masculinity. On Easter.
It's Easter season, and I've been reflecting on the meaning of the cross. Not just the meaning of the cross for the bigger picture of salvation for humanity, but also the tangible effects the cross has been having on me.

They also talk about their first forays into intimacy many years ago and what the cornerstone of their most intimate relationships has been.
How My Best Friend's Relationship Affects Me
How My Best Friend’s Relationship Affects Me
One day, we finally grabbed lunch together, and I just poured out my heart to my best friend. I pleaded for him to take his relationship slowly and not to forget about me. Fitness for the Fearful Gay Man
Fitness for the Fearful Gay Man
Being a stereotypical gay/SSA guy, I had no interest in sports or athletics. I seemed not to care very much about how my body looked either. However, my medical problems gave me a new perspective on how I treated my body. I was tired of being an awkward, flabby, doughy guy. So, I joined a gym. I definitely felt intimidated.
I Wanted to be Ex-Gay
I Wanted to be Ex-Gay
I hadn't wanted orientation change out of a desire to please God. I'd wanted to be straight because I simply wanted to be normal. I had been scared. I was internally homophobic, hating myself and especially other gay men.
What's a Same-Sex Celibate Partnership?
What’s a Same-Sex Celibate Partnership?
A same-sex celibate partnership is an intimate coupling between two same-sex attracted or gay-identifying individuals. Bonded for life in a way similar to marriage but, of course, minus the sex. I have already seen a few celibate couplings form between guys. I've been mostly watching from a distance, but other times I've contacted those folks to ask questions. Sometimes I view them with a lot of envy.
